MOLDOVANS AT THE BOTTOM OF GAS ACCESSIBILITY RATING
The citizens of Moldova, earning the country’s average salary, can obtain the smallest amount of natural gas in Europe, as per the rating published on Monday by the Russian Information Agency “Novosti” [“News”].
According to the research, an average statistical Moldovan’s salaryu8 is enough for obtaining only 421.7 cubic meters of gas, and by this indicator Moldova is standing on the lowest, 30th place in Europe.
The last but one position is held by Moldova’s next-door neighbor – Romania with 570.5 cubic meters. And the other neighbor, Ukraine, where a war is continuing, the Russian researchers simply preferred to not include into the rating.
The leader of the rating is Kazakhstan, where an average monthly salary is sufficient for obtaining almost 10,000 cubic meters of natural gas. Ranking the second is Russia with over 7,500 cubic meters, and the 3rd is Belarus – nearly 5,000 cubic meters.
