EU DELEGATION CONGRATULATES MOLDOVA ON APPROACHING INDEPENDENCE DAY
The European Union Delegation to the Republic of Moldova congratulated the country on its Independence Day, which will be celebrated next Sunday, August 27.
The congratulation says that, “Being independent means making decisions about your future, and the citizens of the republic have already made their choice - in favor of European integration, and Moldova has already received the status of a candidate country for joining the EU."
“The EU has been close to the Republic of Moldova and its citizens, closely following how the country has blazed its own path,” the EU Delegation reminded.
The Delegation wished Moldova “as many independent, democratic, European solutions as possible!”
According to Moldovan statistics, the European Union is the largest and most important economic partner of the Republic of Moldova, supporting local businesses. In 2020, about 19,000 companies benefited from EU support worth over 172 million euros, which contributed to the creation of more than 11,000 jobs.
